让我来讲最重要的事情： 1. Take care of pick pocket. especially Passport.
2. Take safety precaution, don't go out very late at night... better before 10.30pm.
3. Don't take Tuk-Tuk .. not because of dangerous riding but also because of sometimes they will bring you somewhere unofficial place.
4. Always take taxi ... is meter taxi. No meter don't take. Wait until you got meter taxi.
5. Don't trust strangers. Anything, ask to hotel ppl.
6. If you are Alor Setar, exchange rate will be much cheaper.
7. Must know how to bargain...
Place recommendation:
a. Chatuchak market. Only Sat & Sun. b. Suan Nam Night Bazzar (Night) c. Grey Hound Cafe .. good to eat. Must take chicken wings... d. Siam Paragon (very class shopping complex..) e. Flaoting market .. but very far. f. China Town g. Khao San road... h. Mah Boon Krong (a must visit shopping complex .. Good food at food court. But Big C stuff will be much cheaper..

1. MBK-shopping complex, as I mentioned to you is a must visit place for shopping...you will definetely spend a whole day there... the price there is so so .. need to do bargain and bargain ... you may buy some local food eg. Cutterfish, keropok, nuts, ikan bilis, etc.
2. Suan Nam night market is also like pasar malam ... all shops... very big ...too... many to shop and the food court is quite big.. only at night...
3. Chatuchak weekend market- is a must place too and you will surprise to see more then 10k of stalk there ... but the place is warm like an oven ... better morning shopping will be must better ... if not mistaken the market open between 9.30am or 10.30am ... the things there is very cheap .. but the quality is not that good especially the small purse .. if you plan to buy souvenior..better Naraya .. good qualities, beautiful & consider cheap lah! There will a map..get one b4 you start to buy and buy .. so that you would miss it ...
4. Siam paragon food court or the restoran especially the Japanese food is very nice ...
5. Floating market is a good experience.. but dont buy things there .. quite expensive as for tourist ...
6. Buy the floating market from Khao San road .. MAMA Tour cheap and trusted .. anyway .. Khao San road is full of Mat Salleh .. there will be different between night and day ... day time you can shopping .. night time will be a nice place for chit chatting eg. bar, live band, nice coffee .. but it will shut down very early becos of thai government policy due to tourism areas.. but you need to take taxi quite far away from the LRT..
7. China Town, better go after 5pm ..more and more shops for shopping... morning and afternoon time nothing to see... that time I go at 2pm.. so not so many things to see...
8. Big C supermarket ...
I guess the above trip will take you few days to finish ... hahaha..
